My 11year old daughter Shelby is going to teach me how to blog regularly!!

Hello Again!! I realized over the 4th of July while spending time with my lovely family in Western North Carolina, that I needed to write down the interesting places we visit!! Not only is this a good idea for recording dates and places for my own sake but a great place for my followers to glean some info on interesting places to take their families too!!

Our first stop was at Bear Den Campground located right off of the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Bear Den is located in a very wooded area on the side of a mountain. We were only 8 miles away from Linville Falls which took a 30 min. hike down to the bottoms of the Falls. Did I mention that I really need to work on my cardio!!!
